What is the shuttle schedule to and from the wedding?
Multiple shuttle buses will arrive at the TownePlace Suites Westport at 3:40 pm and depart at 3:50 pm to bring guests to the Blithewold Mansion.
The TownPlace Suites and The Hampton Inn share a parking lot.
The shuttles will leave the Blithewold at 10:45 pm and return to Towneplace Suites.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside (weather permitting) on grass. The reception will be under a tent. The tent will be heated if needed. Ladies please be mindful of footwear on grass- we want you to be comfortable!
WHAT ARE THE ENTREE OPTIONS AT THE RECEPTION?
Beef: braised short ribs with parmesan mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, crispy onions, red wine jus
Fish: grilled Georges Bank sea scallops, spring pea risotto, lemon cream sauce
Vegetarian: roasted vegetable ravioli, basil pesto cream sauce, native corn and tomato salad, shaved parmesan
Where will the ceremony & reception be taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place on the Blithewold Mansion property. There will be multiple greeters to direct our guests upon arrival.
Is there a dress code for your wedding?
The dress code for our event is formal attire. A suit and tie for men (tuxedo if you are feeling fancy) and cocktail dresses for the ladies.
Is there parking available at your wedding venue?
There is parking available at the Blithewold Mansion.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We have blocks of reserved rooms at two hotels. Please refer to the Travel section of our website.
Will a shuttle be provided?
There will be a shuttle service provided from the TownePlace Suites and Hampton Inn to the Blithewold Mansion for the ceremony. The shuttle will also bring guests back to these hotels after the reception.
Can I bring my children to the wedding?
While we love your children, we want our guests to be able to let loose and be fully present at our celebration. Therefore, this is an adults only event.
